Education: Literacy, GED preparation, Basic Computers, and Health Science.
Industries: Private sector plant manufacturing t-shirts. Braille operation trains inmates to produce modern textbooks in braille.
Health Care: Routine medical, mental health, and dental care provided on site with 24-hour medical coverage.
Programs: Religious services, volunteer services, Alcoholics Anonymous, Alston Wilkes Pre-Release Seminar, SisterCare, Trauma Group, Battered Women program, Impact of Crime classes, Inmate re-entry program, mother/child reading program, recreational services.
Community Services: Provides an inmate labor crew to the Greenwood County Recycling Center; provides a correctional officer-supervised litter crew who picks up trash along interstate highways. Provides an Operation Behind Bars program for at risk youth and adults to tour the prison and hear inmates describe what led to their criminal behavior and life inside prison.
Services: Serves as a testing site for the GED program.
