Impact of Crime Classes
Graduation Ceremony Held at Kershaw Correctional Institution
Fourteen inmates received Certificates of Participation at the first graduation ceremony for the Impact of Crime Class at Kershaw Correctional Institution on February 23, 1999.
Ms. Woodlief, class instructor, said, "This program spotlights criminal actions. It gives inmates a chance to examine the consequences and impact of those actions, and then look at alternative choices--more positive choices. This program gives them an opportunity to look inward, specifically at their crime."
Certificates were presented by Warden Rickie Harrison, Barbara Grissom of the Division of Victim Services, Kathy Jackson of the Division of Education and Acting Principal Paula Woodlief.
